Hall, son of legendary director Sir Peter Hall, was previously expected to make his Broadway debut directing Richardson's husband, Liam Neeson, in a revival of Camelot that never occurred. His work was recently featured on the New York stage in the form of Rose Rage, his adaptation of Henry VI Parts 1, 2 and 3 which played in the UK and Chicago before hitting off-Broadway's Duke on 42nd Street. Hall's other credits include Macbeth at the Albery, The Contstant Wife at the Apollo and Royal Shakespeare Company productions of Tantalus, Julius Caesar and Two Gentlemen of Verona. A National Theatre associate, his credits with the company include Edmond and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
A Streetcar Named Desire is scheduled to officially open on April 24 at Studio 54.
